EP Electropolished Basket

The Pesado EP Filter Basket: Smoother Extractions for Richer Roasts

Upgrading your filter basket is one of the easiest ways to instantly improve your espresso. The Pesado EP (Electro-Polished) basket is specifically engineered to maximize the rich, heavy-bodied flavors of medium and dark roast coffees, making it the perfect choice for thick, classic espressos or milk-based drinks like lattes and flat whites.

Key Features & Brewing Benefits:

• Electro-Polished Finish: Standard machine baskets often have microscopic burrs and rough edges inside the drainage holes left over from manufacturing. This basket undergoes an advanced electro-polishing treatment that creates a perfectly smooth, friction-free surface—even inside the tiny holes. This allows the liquid espresso to flow through cleanly and evenly.

• Optimized for Richer Roasts: The smaller hole diameter and highly polished surface extract a massive amount of body while smoothing out harsh notes. This makes the basket incredibly forgiving to use and exceptionally easy to dial in for traditional, darker coffees.

• Precision Dosing: Engineered for strict accuracy, these baskets offer a capacity tolerance of just ±1g from their recommended size (available in sizes from 18g to 22g), ensuring your daily recipe stays perfectly consistent.
